
Mr. Prodromos Epifaniou is a qualified Advocate and a Member of the Cyprus Bar Association. He holds an LL.B (Hons) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an LL.M in Commercial Law from the University of Bristol. He is also a Certified Trainer of Vocational Training (Level 5) accredited by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus and a registered mediator in commercial disputes. He is fluent in Greek and English.
Prodromos is a Senior Associate, where he specialises in financial services regulation, banking law, and data protection. He advises clients on a wide range of regulatory matters, including GDPR compliance, MiFID II and Prospectus Regulation. His practice includes drafting national legislation transposing key EU directives and regulations, preparing legal opinions for financial institutions, and supporting the licensing and regulatory compliance of Electronic Money Institutions and Cyprus Investment Firms.
Prior to his current role, Prodromos worked as an Advocate where he was extensively involved in GDPR implementation projects, regulatory advisory work, and the drafting of banking and financial services legislation. He has also gained international experience working in London and Malta on complex financial regulatory and investigation matters.His work focused on financial services regulation, large-scale investigations, MiFID II implementation, and compliance with EU regulatory frameworks.
Throughout his career, Prodromos has collaborated with supervisory authorities, ministries, and European institutions, including participation in European Commission workshops related to the transposition of EU directives into national law.
