Laris Vrahimis graduated from University College London in 1987 and has been qualified as a Barrister at Law of England and Wales since 1990. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 1991 and therefore has 30 years of experience as an advocate, litigator and legal consultant. He represents clients in all Cyprus courts including the Supreme Court and the Secondary Family Court and all of Cyprus's Districts. He is considered a leading expert in Cyprus Family Law. He teaches Family and Succession Law at the University of Cyprus. He is also an examiner for Family Law for Cyprus's Legal Council and heads the Family Law Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association. He regularly appears before parliamentary committees on consultations regarding family law. He has represented clients in numerous leading or high-profile cases. As a legal advisor and litigator, he has represented or advised clients in a number of different fields of law including all aspects of family law (divorce, matrimonial property distribution, child custody and visitation, adoption, international child abduction, alimony and child maintenance) as well as road traffic accidents and personal injury cases, medical and professional negligence, industrial accidents or occupier's liability claims, banking and contracts, employment law, company and general civil or commercial law.
