Hansi Giovanini is a Mexican-qualified lawyer with more than fifteen years of experience in business development and marketing within the legal services sector. Early in his career, he practised law in Mexico City before moving into business development roles with international law firms in Europe. As a lawyer, he advised on marketing law, intellectual property, corporate and regulatory matters, as well as tax law and litigation.
He spent eight years at Ince in Hamburg and progressed to Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager, responsible for business development and marketing in Germany. In that role, he worked closely with partners and fee earners on their business development and marketing activities. He has sector knowledge in shipping, marine insurance, renewable energy, and yachts and superyachts.
In 2020, he joined CMS in Germany as Senior International Business Development Manager and later became Team Leader, International Business Development. He worked with the Global Head of the Antitrust, Competition & Trade Group to drive the practice's international business development activities across 225 lawyers in 35 countries. He continued to work with CMS as an external contractor until 2026. In that role, he supported the Global Heads of the Corporate/M&A and Private Equity Groups in driving the practices' international business development activities across 1,200 Corporate/M&A and Private Equity lawyers in 47 countries.
He is also an Advisory Board Member of 2250, a technology company focused on skincare, where he assists with investor engagement across Europe.
His work has encompassed local, regional and global responsibilities, collaborating closely with BD teams and lawyers across multiple jurisdictions. Since 2024, he has been a business development trainer for ELTC. Today, as Director of Hansigo, based in Limassol, he focuses on business development design, from strategy to implementation. He works with a wide range of clients, from solo practitioners and family-run firms to international law firms.
